“Precious” Chihuahua Found Abandoned at Foreclosed Home

SHERMAN OAKS (KTLA) — A Chihuahua named “Precious” was rescued by real estate agents after being abandoned outside a foreclosed home in South Los Angeles.
Agents at Keller-Williams Realty in Sherman Oaks found the dog tied to the front door of a house with no food or water after the owner was evicted on May 15.

Precious, a 9-year-old female, had been hit by a car two days prior and hadn’t been given medical attention.
Employees of the real estate company took the dog to the VCA Animal Hospital and Keller Williams’ Leana Revekko is now taking care of her in Sherman Oaks.

“It’s not in our job description,” said Harma Hartouni of Keller Williams. “But what are you going to do when you see the dog injured with no food and no water?”

Precious’ previous owner said she isn’t interested in taking the dog back because she can no longer afford to take care of her.

Keller Williams agents said Precious isn’t the only pet they’ve seen left behind; they recently rescued a cat.

Revekko of Keller Williams is looking for someone willing to adopt Precious.

If interested in adoption, please call 818-783-3736.
